Start of ski season in Harenda Zakopane Ski Centre is scheduled for 17th December – as usual, we open with hospitality and the highest quality! We are looking forward to a day when we meet again on Harenda ski slope in Zakopane and we will be able to enjoy white craziness together with kids, parents and grandparents.

 

 

Safety and health of our guests, employees and inhabitants is HSKI’s the most important priority. For this reason all guidelines concerning COVID-19, which are imposed by Polish government, are strictly followed. The government has not announced any guidelines for forthcoming winter season yet, however a special HSKI’s group, created for this case, has just decided about clear rules and means on the ski area..

Safety of our guests

Safety and health of our guests, employees and inhabitants is HSKI’s the most important priority. For this reason all guidelines concerning COVID-19, which are imposed by Polish government, are strictly followed. The government has not announced any guidelines for forthcoming winter season yet, however a special HSKI’s group, created for this case, has just decided about clear rules and means on the ski area.

 

All our operations are aimed at increasing the safety of our guests, employees and inhabitants. We want to build the sense of safety in our ski school, so we will do our best to prevent possible infections and not give a chance for Covid-19 pandemic in HSKI as well as in Harenda Zakopane! We hope that our efforts will not be in vain and that we can offer to all our guests nice and safe leisure in our region.

Guidelines in Harenda Zakopane Ski Centre

In all enclosed space everybody must cover his mouth and nose. It concerns waiting rooms, cash desks, shops, ski rentals, HSKI ski school, restaurants. In their entrance space there will be disinfectants available.

 

Restaurants and self-service restaurants: You should cover your mouth and nose in collecting area, in free area as well as in toilets.

 

By the tables, covering of mouth and nose is not necessary. In all restaurants, the distance between tables, according by the law, is kept or there will be appropriate, separating devices installed (e.g. glass plate). During all day there will be regular disinfections carried out. The staff is preparing appropriate „guidelines and control measures”.

 

On chairlifts, ski-lifts and carpet-lift in Harenda Zakopane Ski Centre you must cover your mouth and nose. Thanks to it, chairlifts may be properly staffed (e.g. 4 persons on quadruple chairlift). All devices are located outdoor. On all ski-lifts journey time is below critical time of 15 minutes. Speed on lanes is increased, so that time of waiting will be as short as possible.

 

All workers in Harenda Zakopane Ski Centre, who have a contact with guests (chairlifts, restaurants, rentals, HSKI ski school, shops) are instructed to cover their mouth and nose. Apart from restaurants, on the whole area there are many disinfectants available. On all entrances and exits you may find boards informing about security measures. Appropriate statements in Polish and English inform guests additionally about precautions.

Guidelines obligatory in HSKI

Covering of mouth and nose as well as hand disinfection

In all public areas, regardless of legal requirements, our workers and guests at the age above 6 years old are expected to cover their mouth and nose. Hands disinfection while entering and coming out of our building is also required. We protect each other. It concerns especially interiors in following areas: all points of sale in HSKI ski school, HSKI Penguin Club, shops. All points of sale and receptions will be equipped with safety glasses.

At every entrance there is a manual how to proceed for security purposes in connection with COVID-19.
Every customer is obliged to fulfill a short protocol COVID-19, aimed at increasing of safety of our guests and workers.

 

Interiors of HSKI ski school are disinfected and cleaned everyday. Our Staff works behind a glass to improve safety of our guests as well as of customer service.

 

Free of charge cancellation up to 48 hours

In situation that, in spite of all security measures, in a short time you feel bad or maybe you do not feel in 100% efficient, HSKI ski school offers free of charge cancellation of all online booked ski courses up to 48 hours before a start of the course for any reason.

Ski and snowboard activities in HSKI

HSKI places emphasis on safety through preventive measures and investments in solutions aimed at minimizing of COVID-19 risk.

 

  1. Activities take place outdoor, so risk of COVID-19 occurence is minimal.
  2. Meetings with instructors take place in indicated areas.
  3. Meeting points were extended in order to avoid big groups during waiting for an instructor.
  4. During activities, in the area of queues to ski lifts and chairlift, customers are obliged to cover their mouth and nose.
  5. In case of group activities, groups are maximally of 8 persons outdoor what complies with legal limits and does not increase the risk of occurence of COVID-19.
  6. During ski and snowboard group trainings there is no obligation to cover your mouth and nose, if only safe distance of 1,5 m is kept.
HSKI Penguin Club ski courses

Our program for children is treated by us as priority as far as safety and counter-measure of COVID-19 occurrence is concerned. Kids and parents need to feel especially here and the stay shall be their dreamed-of time spent in Zakopane.

 

We mention that ski trainings are conducted outdoor, so the risk of COVID-19 occurence is minimal.

 

  1. On the first day, before a start of activities, parents / protectors are obliged to fulfill a short formular about COVID-19.
  2. On the entrance and on the area of HSKI Penguin Club there are disinfection stations as well as instructions how to proceed for safety purposes in connection with COVID-19.
  3. Meeting points with instructors were extended, in order to decrease the number of persons waiting for instructors in one place.
  4. HSKI Penguin Club is disinfected and cleaned everyday in order to eliminate the risk of COVID-19 occurence.
  5. On the area of HSKI Penguin Club, persons not taking part in activities must cover their mouth and nose as well as follow all rules according to instructions of HSKI.
  6. Activities take place in groups of maximally 8 persons, so all legal requirements concerning groups are fulfilled. During ski training outdoor there is no obligation to cover mouth and nose by children above 6 years old if only safe distance of 1,5m is kept.
  7. Children above 6 years old, while waiting in the queue to ski lifts and chairlift, are obliged to cover their mouth and nose.
  8. Attractions for children take place without obstacles according to instructions of HSKI. Devices used while attractions are disinfected.
  9. Dinners during activites take place in a special, separated area, with the protection of appropriate sanitary standards. Every child before entry is obliged to disinfect hands and children above 6 years old must cover their mouth and nose until taking seat by the table. Dinners are served to table with the protection of appropriate sanitary standards. In the dining room may stay only children with instructors. The dining room is aired and disinfected before and after dinner.
  10. During events in HSKI Penguin Club in indicated hours there is categorical imperative to cover mouth and nose by children above 6 years old and adults. Final decision about organization of evening event will be made on the spot in accordance with situation that will be in a particular period.
  11. Ski race will take place without obstacles and be well-adjusted in order to avoid queues and crowd which might put you at risk of COVID-19 infection.
  12. All prizes and items are prepared earlier according to guidelines protecting before COVID-19 occurence.

HSKI Instructors

Our ski school takes care mainly of safety of instructors, so that they can provide you everyday with secrets of knowledge of skiing and snowboarding

 

  1. Instructors stay still under safety control.
  2. Every instructor, before and after activities, is obliged to disinfect hands.
  3. Every instructor, while waiting in the queue to ski lifts or chairlift, is obliged to cover his mouth and nose.
  4. Every instructor, everyday, has a sanitary interview in order to decrease the risk of COVID-19 occurence.
  5. Our instructors stay in especially prepared interiors, which are disinfected and aired a few times a day.
  6. Instructors during activities inform their participants in course how to proceed to avoid the risk of COVID-19 occurence.
  7. In case of any suspicion at our worker, the tests for the presence of COVID-19 will be done immediately.

HSKI instructors are characterized with high professionalism during activities. You can feel safe, because for years the safety is an element which distinguishes us!

What is respected by HSKI as covering of mouth and nose?

Apart from conventional protective masks on mouth and nose, additionally you may also use multifunctional towels, ski masks, bandanas, face protectors, buff etc. It is important for mouth and nose to be completely covered, in order to avoid spreading of droplets during speaking, couching and sneezing.
